"La pandémie de COVID-19 a aggravé la situation des violences basées sur le genre en Mauritanie, où de nombreuses femmes et filles sont soumises, stéréotypées et ne connaissent pas leurs droits. Les données montrent une augmentation des cas de violence conjugale, passant de 11% avant la pandémie à 16% pendant. Il est crucial que le gouvernement mauritanien, la société civile, les communautés et les activistes travaillent ensemble pour mettre fin à ces pratiques."
