Chourouk Amouri Chourouk Amouri Lazard Fellow Chourouk is a Lazard Fellow at the Maghreb Economic Forum. She is currently studying for her Master of Entrepreneurship at Institut des Hautes Etudes Commerciales Carthage. She has volunteered with the feminist art festival “Chouftouhonna” in Tunis and was a participant of the Study of the U.S. Institutions Exchange Program, where she focused on women’s leadership. Slim Bahrini Slim Bahrini Executive Director Slim is the Executive Director of the Maghreb Economic Forum. He joined MEF in December 2017 as the Director of Communications before taking on his current position in 2018. Over the past eight years, Slim has overseen several civil society projects related to youth leadership, employment, and entrepreneurship in North Africa. Before joining MEF, Slim worked with Article 19, a Tunisian organization focused on access to information and freedom of expression. He is an experienced trainer with expertise on non-profit leadership, communication strategies, community outreach, and marketing. He speaks French, English, and Arabic. Executive Director
Nizar Ben Salah Nizar Ben Salah Lead Researcher Nizar is a Lead Researcher at the Maghreb Economic Forum. He has worked on several youth empowerment and positive youth development projects in North Africa with organizations such as Badr, iDebate, and UNESCO. Kristen Canavan Kristen Canavan Communications Officer Kristen is the Communications Officer at the Maghreb Economic Forum. She is a former contributor for the news blogs Nawaat and Muftah. Kristen graduated from the University of Michigan where she studied Modern Middle Eastern and North African Studies, French, and Arabic. Francesca Romana Russo Francesca Romana Russo Executive Assistant Francesca is the Executive Assistant at the Maghreb Economic Forum. She holds a Master of Science degree in Middle East Politics from the School of Oriental and African Studies at the University of London and she has been trained in policy analysis of Euro-Mediterranean Relations at the International Affairs Institute in Rome. Her Master’s thesis was entitled “The Evolution of Hezbollah’s Stance on Lebanese Confessionalism and Sectarianism: An Intra-Shi’a Political-Economic Perspective”.
