Project Description

This ongoing research study, started in 2017, aims to establish the centrality of inclusion within deradicalization and prevention programs that respond to violent extremism in the post-revolutionary Tunisian context. The first part of this study addresses the effect inclusion has on Tunisian youth in deradicalization and preventing violent extremism strategies. Using qualitative and quantitative approaches, its focus is not only to understand current deradicalization and prevention programs utilizing inclusion but to  also, analyze the effectiveness of inclusion within strategies of current existing programs in Tunisia and elsewhere.

This project is supported by the International Development Research Center.
